Blind Guardian: Parla Hansi

In una recente intervista con BW&BK, il frontman dei Blind Guardian Hansi Kürsch ha parlato del nuovo singolo della band "Fly" e dell'imminente album. Ecco la dichiarazione originale di Hansi:
“We recognized that some people expected us to go back and do some old school stuff, but that’s definitely not our type of thing."

Kürsch spiega inoltre che, nel nuovo singolo, il sound dei Bling Guardian ha continuato l'evoluzione che aveva preso con "A Night at the Opera":
"We, of course, love the old material and the elements of the old songs will be part of the music whenever we do an album – we won’t deny our roots – but there has to be that step into an unknown future. We noticed that was happening when we began writing for the new album, and when we hit the studio for pre-production it became more and more obvious. To a certain extent it’s a complete change, but that’s a consequent development from A Night At The Opera. That’s the strange thing about the new album; the songs far easier to listen to compared to the last one even though we more or less used the same ingredients. It’s not as packed as A Night At The Opera, and we focused more of following a straight line; the singalong choruses and stuff like that. You will certainly find choruses that have the same quality as some of really old stuff. Really catchy. I guess you could say the new album is being done in a more mainstream-ish way.”
